Blog-anniversaire Giveaway!

It's that time of year again! Can it really have been four years since I first started this little blog? Apparently it can, and to celebrate I am holding a giveaway of a lovely vintage painted fan.

Isn't it sweet?! In order to be entered for the drawing all you need to do is leave a comment by July 3rd telling me what your favorite blog entry has been; I'm curious to know what you've enjoyed the most. I will choose the winner at random; and, yes, I will ship the fan overseas.

Good luck, and I hope to hear from you!

  1. June 3rd, or do you mean July?
(I typed July by accident twice today at work, heh!)

Even if I have missed the deadline, I want to say that your entry from May 17th is my favorite. Your answers to the Inspiring Blogger Award gives us a peek into who *you* are, your travels, family history and all the other things you do and accomplish.
So many of us who write in these various blogs only show a portion of what makes us tick, through the sewing, designing and creating. It shows a lot, but rarely does it ever present us as people that still operate in the modern world.
For choosing to be a teacher, I commend you and I'm thankful that a person as well-read and creative as yourself would take on such a task.
    XOXO

    P.S.
I also sing to my dog (a Staffordshire terrier), totally making up the lyrics as I go. She loves it. She also has a specific meal time ditty. We may be weird, but at least our for-legged family members appreciate us for it!

    1. Wow, thank you! I love my work and am tremendously fond of my students, so I feel lucky to get to do it. Glad to know that I'm not the only one with the proclivity for singing to my pet.

  2. My favorite post is the January 13th of 2012 diary entry:
"I should have been the happiest of women. I had the prospect of a husband who loved me, who asked for none of my inheritance, but only the pleasure of my company and conversation. A man of kindness, charity, wit, and, yes, wisdom even. Rare in so many ways."

Would not we all love such a man? I have sought such a one all my life.

Thank you for the enjoyment your blog has brought me.

    1. Thank you, Margaret. I know myself to be indeed fortunate to be married to a wonderful man, and I can only hope that everyone finds their perfect match.

It is my pleasure to write for the enjoyment of others, and I am glad that it has brought you that.
